Blinds in St Helens
Every blind we fit in St Helens is measured and made by our own team. No franchises, no passed-on jobs..
Popular blinds available in St Helens
St Helens has a wide spread of housing types, from the terraced rows near the town centre to the semis around Thatto Heath and the newer builds out in Rainford. Every blind is made to the exact dimensions of the window it's covering. Nothing comes off a shelf.
- Most Popular
Roller blinds
The most fitted blind we supply across St Helens and the wider borough. Available in blackout and light-filtering fabrics, plus a moisture-resistant range for kitchens and bathrooms. Easy to wipe down and suited to most room types.
- Great for living rooms
Roman blinds
A fabric panel that folds into soft horizontal pleats when raised. The softer profile works well in front rooms and bay windows, particularly in the older terraced and semi-detached properties closer to the town centre. For rooms where a harder-edged blind would feel out of place.
- Popular
Wooden Venetian blinds
Solid timber slats on an adjustable tilt, letting you dial in the angle of light rather than just opening or closing the blind entirely. The warmth of the wood sits well with original features in St Helens' Victorian and Edwardian stock.
- No drill solution
Perfect fit blinds
Clips directly into the window beading with no drilling required. A practical option for the uPVC-framed windows found across the borough's post-war semis and newer developments. Good for rented properties where the landlord doesn't allow wall fixings.
- Privacy control
Day & night blinds
Alternating bands of sheer and opaque fabric that rotate to vary the light level. On a front window facing a road or a neighbour's driveway, they let daylight in without making the room visible from outside.
- Patio doors
Vertical blinds
Long fabric louvres that rotate and stack to one side to clear the opening. The practical answer for patio doors and bifold doors, which appear regularly in the larger detached properties around Rainhill and Eccleston.

01
Step 1: Free home visit
We come to your St Helens property at a time that suits you. We look at each window you want covering and go through the available fabric and mechanism options. You get a fixed price before we leave, and the visit costs you nothing.

Step 2: Precise measuring
All measurements are taken on-site by our fitter. We don't ask you to measure your own windows, and we don't estimate from photographs. Every figure goes directly into production.

Step 3: Made to order
Your blinds are built to the measurements from the visit. If your reveals are unusually deep or your frames are slightly off-square, that's handled in production, not patched on the day.

Step 4: Fitted by us
We come back when the blinds are ready and put everything up ourselves. Any adjustments are dealt with before we leave.
Blinds fitting across St Helens
St Helens covers a lot of ground. The areas closest to the town centre, including Parr and Sutton, have dense terraced housing with sash-style windows and original reveals that need a proper measure.
Out towards Rainhill and Eccleston, the stock shifts to larger 1930s semis and detached properties on wider plots.
Newton-le-Willows and Haydock sit on the eastern edge of the borough and bring their own mix, from older semi-detached streets to the more recent housing off the main routes.
Our fitters cover the whole borough, including the outlying villages. There's no travel surcharge for any postcode in St Helens.

Why choose us
Here's what sets us apart from the bigger retailers.
We do everything ourselves
Every blind we fit in St Helens is measured, made and installed by our own team. There's a direct line of accountability if anything needs attention after the job, and you don't have to work out who to call.
Proper made-to-measure
Every blind is cut to the measurements taken at your window. Off-square frames, deep reveals and non-standard dimensions are all accounted for at the production stage, not after the blind is already up.
Free measure, no obligation
The home visit costs nothing. We come out, measure up, go through the options and give you a fixed quote. You're under no pressure to go ahead.
Hundreds of fabrics
The range across blind types covers a large choice of fabrics, textures and finishes. You can browse at the showroom or ask us to bring samples on the home visit.
Child-safe as standard
All our blinds comply with current UK child safety regulations. We don't fit corded blinds in family homes unless there's a specific reason, and we'll always explain the safer options for your household.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. We cover all postcodes across the St Helens borough, including WA9, WA10, WA11 and WA12. That takes in the outlying areas too, including Rainford, Billinge, Haydock and Newton-le-Willows. If you're not sure whether your address falls within our area, call us on 0161 359 9510 and we'll confirm straight away.
Around two weeks in most cases. The home visit runs for 30 to 45 minutes. We agree a fitting date at the point you confirm your order, so you're not left waiting for a callback. For windows with unusual dimensions, production may take a little longer, and we'll tell you that at the visit if it applies.
Yes. There's no charge for the visit and no obligation to buy. We come to your home, take the measurements, show you what's available and give you a fixed price. If you decide not to go ahead, nothing is owed.
Yes. Samples are available at the Altrincham showroom, or we can bring a selection to your home visit. If you want to see how a particular fabric works with your wall colour or furniture, ask us to leave samples when we come out.
Yes. All our blinds meet current UK child safety standards. We don't fit corded blinds in homes with young children unless there's a specific reason to, and we'll always point out which options are safest at the measuring visit.
Every blind is made to the dimensions we take at your window, so unusual sizes don't cause problems. Arched windows, deep reveals and off-standard frame dimensions are all handled in production. If a specific blind type genuinely can't work in your space, we'll say so at the visit rather than finding out when the blind arrives.
