Chain uses a continuous looped chain on one side to wind the tube manually, with a breakaway safety connector built in. Spring clutch has no chain at all, you pull the bottom bar down and a clutch inside the tube grips and holds it at height. Spring clutch is the fully cordless option and our usual recommendation for nurseries.
We'd generally recommend a single roller blind up to around 250 to 300cm wide, depending on the fabric weight. Beyond that, the fabric can start to sag in the middle or roll unevenly. For wider openings like patio doors, a vertical blind usually handles the span better.
Yes, with the right fabric. Standard fabric will mark and can develop mould in a steamy bathroom over time. PVC or laminated moisture-resistant fabric is built to tolerate splashes and condensation and is what we'd recommend for both rooms.
