Watch our quick video guide above or follow the simple steps below to learn the safest technique for raising your blinds.
How to Properly Raise a Venetian Blind
Simply Guide
Step By Step Guide
Step 1: Support the Weight
Place your free hand underneath the bottom rail of the blind to take some of the weight off the mechanism.
Step 2: Pull the Cord Smoothly
While supporting the blind, use your other hand to pull smoothly on the raise cord. Supporting the weight prevents the blind from swinging and banging against your window handles.
Step 3: Secure the Cord
Once the blind is at your desired height, safely tie off the raise cord onto your wall cleat.
Important Note: Always secure the cord to the cleat after adjusting your blinds. Keeping cords neatly tied up is essential for child and pet safety.
